Booking - Terms & Conditions
- Following a client's enquiry for availability (by phone or e mail) or an online booking request, a provisional acceptance of the booking will be made over the phone and/or by e mail (as appropriate). To confirm the reservation the client should complete and sign the booking form (sent by e mail by the owners) and return it together with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit of 100 euros. (Please refer to cancellation conditions below.) The client is strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy including cover for cancellations, loss or damage to the client's personal belongings and public liability, as these are not covered by the owners insurance. The deposit constitutes part of the total rental charge. Following receipt of the booking form and deposit, the owners will confirm acceptance of the booking by e-mail within 48 hours.
- Included as standard in the rental charge are:- electricity, water & heating (supplement for central heating in Low season); Basic Welcome Pack; Towels (for Gîte use only) and fresh bed linen in each bedroom.
- The client confirms that payment for any additional services, such as DVD & Video hire, are payable in euros on site.
- The client accepts that smoking is only permitted outside. Smoke alarms are fitted.

- The owners will not be liable or responsible to the client for any defect or stoppage, temporary or otherwise, in the supply of public services to the rental property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the rental property, gardens or swimming pool, nor for any disturbance, noise or work occurring in the area surrounding the property by other persons, nor for loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or any matters beyond the control of the owners. If a change or cancellation occurs because the property is substantially damaged or destroyed before the start of the rental period, the owners will if possible offer an alternative holiday booking date. In any event, the owners will refund to the client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability to the client exceed the amount paid/due to the owners for the rental period.
- The balance of the rental payment is due not less than 8 weeks before the commencement of the rental period. The owners will send a reminder and final invoice by email 2 weeks beforehand. Payment may be made by cheque (payable to Mr & Mrs Bowden) in GBP or euros. If payment is not received by the due date, the owners reserve the right to give written notice that the booking is cancelled and cancellation conditions apply. Reservations made within 6 weeks of the commencement of the rental period must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- The rental period will commence at 4.00pm on the day of arrival and finish at 11.00 am on the day of departure. The owners will not be obliged to offer the property before the stipulated time nor shall the client have the right to remain in the property after the time stated. Clients should advise the owners if they are likely to arrive earlier on the first day. In this case, clients will be welcome to use the grounds whilst their accommodation is prepared.
- The client undertakes to take responsibility and exercise reasonable care in respect of the accommodation and its equipment. Clients are expected to advise the owners of any breakages and damage and an agreement will be made at that time.
- The owners also remind the client of their own duty of care for their own and other members of their party's safety while they are staying at the rental property. The pool meets current EU safety regulations, however, adult members of the party/parents must ensure that children under sixteen are supervised by at least one adult around the pool and likewise that extra care is taken for their safety by any water.
- The client details any special requirements on the booking form, subject to agreement by the owners.
